My 96 year old mom came in to ER from a rehab facility in extremely critical condition. She was non responsive nearly catatonic, her vitals were tanking in the ambulance. I was told she was in the trauma room with ER Dr. Maziel and would get an update from him asap. I called my family to explain what was happening and to make arrangements to come. My two sisters who live locally arrived. Dr. Maziel told us how grave my mother’s condition is considering her age and so many issues. I asked him to review her case because even with all of her issues she was living with me and enjoyed a relatively healthy life. He promised he would and clearly he did. When we were brought into my mom’s room in the ER, we were greeted with a smiling coherent mom looking better than her entire time in the rehab facility. Dr. Maziel quickly figured out she was dangerously dehydrated with an extremely low protein level and dangerously malnourished. Dr. Maziel saved my almost 97 year old mom’s life in the BPT. ER on March 4. 2025 and my family is immensely grateful.

After 3 tries with neighborhood Hospital in Derby.. I was finally sent to Yale New Haven Burn Center.. because 3rd Dr was concerened about acceleration of burn. Burn Center did intake and immediately saw a Dr, then a surgeon who highly suggested a graft, if possible. Would was too deep for permanent and given temporary. Last night, Tuesday I had second surgery for permanent. Today Wednesday, I am home recovering with full support, ability to walk. All the staff was amazing.. but have to give the whole nursing staff 100 stars out of 10.. simply AWESOME Physical/Occupational Therapy is in a world of their own and can take your stress and put a huge smile on face.. letting you know.. everything is alright Regards to All Sir Tim, the man who needs to be schooled on microwaving Raman

I recently used their outpatient services, the SurgEase department. What a wonderful experience. The staff there is a real team. The way they interact with each other and the patient is first class. Friendly, interested, professional and caring. Every person I met was so pleasant. They introduced themselves and the job they were doing. Explained everything. I felt so comfortable and secure with them and of course confident. The best possible experience.

I went to Bridgeport Hospital ER today. I was greeted with kindness and taken care of with care and respect. I was treated like a human being instead of a bill. From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Dr. Collen Murphy, who performed my laparoscopy, was truly outstanding. Her professionalism, skill, and compassion made me feel confident and at ease throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring I understood the procedure and felt completely comfortable every step of the way. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to her assistant, Sharlene, whose warmth and kindness made me feel like family. She went above and beyond—not only offering emotional support, but also making sure all of my paperwork, including prior authorizations and insurance approvals, was completed and processed smoothly. Her thoroughness ensured there were no surprises, and her attention to detail made a stressful time so much easier. I had to take my 19 month old son to this ER after a scary episode of vomiting and high fever. As a mother I was worried about my son, and scared about what was going on. We were triaged quickly by Sherri and Alexis. I guess we were lucky because our wait was brief. Alexis brought us back to a room and made sure we were comfortable. Our nurse, Arianna, was wonderful. She made a glove-balloon to cheer my son up, and played Ms Rachel on her phone to distract him during the not-so-fun medication administration, and was overall very sweet with him. Our provider, Dr. Matson, was extremely warm and thorough with my son's exam. I felt both the nurse and doctor had wonderful bedside manner and were clearly in the jobs they were meant for-helping sick people. While in the ER, my son did get sick on my sweatshirt, leaving me just in a t-shirt on a cold Dec night. As we were leaving, Alexis called after me to see if I needed a blanket. This was a sweet gesture that I really appreciated. I'm very happy with the care we received.
